


ANTÓN REIXA
Poet, writer, and audiovisual creator.
Vigo (1957). Holds a degree in Galician Philology, writer (poetry, theater, narrative, and press).
Audiovisual creator (direction, production, screenplay for film and TV, video creation). Musician (singer and lyricist, mainly with the band Os Resentidos). He worked as a teacher of Galician language and literature in secondary education and also directed and hosted radio programs.
He began his literary career as a founding member of the poetic communication group Rompente. He has given lectures and masterclasses at various universities and cultural centers and has participated in numerous poetry readings featuring his own works. He was the head of the production company Videoesquimal and served as president of Filmanova and its subsidiaries between 1999 and 2017, achieving successes such as Mareas Vivas and O Lapis do Carpinteiro. He also presided over the Galician Audiovisual Cluster and SGAE.
He worked at the Galician Film Library (CGAI) on a service commission for AGADIC.
He is a regular contributor to Luzes.gal and a panelist on Julia Otero's radio program. He continues his work as a writer and lyricist, alongside collaborations in journalism and other audiovisual projects.
Theater Experience
He has extensive theater experience, including: Gulliver FM (1985, Grupo Artello, author), After Shave (1986, musical, author, director, and producer), Doberman (1994, author), and three productions with the Swiss company L’Alakran (directed by Oskar Gómez Mata). He has collaborated with La Fura dels Baus, produced Mundo Lois and the musical Galicia Caníbal, and was the author and actor in Melancoholemia (directed by Fernando Bernués). He also worked on Míticas pero Secundarias with Antela Cid, Crémilo, CDG, and Cidade da Cultura for the Clásicas Desfeita program (as author, director, and performer).
Awards
In 2021, the Spanish government awarded him the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts. In 2023, he received the III Plataforma Award at the IV edition of the Plataforma Festival, organized by the Performa Cooperative in Santiago de Compostela.
