Applause for Antón Reixa and Kirenia M. Acosta at Galicia Escena PRO

More than a hundred people applauded Kirenia M. Acosta and Antón Reixa yesterday at the Igrexa da Universidade after the performance of Cicatriz, a dance piece co-produced by the Galician Choreographic Center, which premiered yesterday in Santiago.

Reixa and poetry

The piece, with scenography by Suso Mareque, lighting by Daniel Rodríguez and Violeta Martínez, sound by Bruno Baw and Marcos Payno, music by Bruno Baw and Alejandro Sande, and voices by Antela Cid and Uxío Novo, revolves around poetic texts by Reixa himself. The production is led by Uxío Novo and Fany Vázquez.

Final-day discussion

This dance proposal by Kirenia M. Acosta and Antón Reixa is part of the Galicia Escena PRO fair, which this week brings together 220 professionals in Santiago within a program launched last Monday, combining shows for accredited professionals and performances open to the public. Before this performance, Jessica Castellón and Boris Orihuela were also applauded in the same venue for Cuentas corrientes.

This Thursday (11:00 a.m.), at the USC venue, Redrum Teatro will perform Os contos do Lobicán; Paula Quintas Cía. will present Aurora Boreal at Salón Teatro (4:30 p.m.); Talía Teatro will stage Un deus salvaxe at Teatro Principal (6:00 p.m.); and Loia Producións will present María Visitación Consolación Amadora at Auditorio Abanca (12:00 p.m.). At 1:30 p.m., a discussion will take place at the Museo das Peregrinacións with Miguel Ángel Barreales, programmer of Teatro El Albéitar (León); Pol Gil, executive director of Mostra Igualada–Fira d’espectacles infantils i juvenils and board member of Cofae; and Paloma Morcillo, programmer of Teatro López de Ayala (Badajoz). The dialogue will be moderated by Gustavo del Río, member of the Galicia Escena PRO 2025 organizing team.
